Hey, the 90’s called and said they want their paper charts back
Who remembers Chart-It ?
I recently found an outline from one of the courses I taught back in 1996 to help pay the bills while in university.
Back then, Janice and I were full time students for seven years, including summer sessions, and the parents of 4 small children. Every penny had to count.
When I taught this course 26 years ago, I gave students a walk through demonstration of Chart-It to show them what electronic charting looked like.
Eyes rolled, heads shook. Electronic charting was very new back then, and many dentists were skeptical it would catch on.
I predicted it would catch on, and it has. (see my prediction in the course outline below)
